Local Radio is hosted from the Piggyback server at the 1156 Chapel. Stations are hosted locally and only accessible from the YaleSecure Network. Local Radio was established, designed, and developed by Bryant Wells (GD ’20). I worked with Miguel Gaydosh (GD ’22) to create a chat feature to implement onto the platform, providing a space for listeners to socialize in during a station’s streaming. Chats are never logged and dissappear at the end of a station’s stream, which embraces the ephemerality integral to the platform’s ethos.
